On October 16, 2018, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) voted to make an affirmative final ruling on anti-dumping and countervailing industry damage to sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products (sodium Gluconate, Gluconic acid, and DerivativeProducts) imported from China, and ruled that the final ruling of the US Department of Commerce ruled that the products involved in dumping and subsidy caused substantial damage to the domestic industry of the United States.

In this ruling, all five members of the International Trade Commission voted in favor. According to the affirmative ruling of the US International Trade Commission, the US Department of Commerce will issue anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on products imported from China. This case involves products under U.S. harmonized tariff numbers 2918.16.1000, 2918.16.5010, 2932.20.5020 and some products under 2918.16.5050, 3824.99.2890 and 3824.99.9295.

On December 21, 2017, at the Products of US Corporate PMP Fermentation, Inc. In the application submitted, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On January 12, 2018, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued an announcement stating that it had made a preliminary ruling on the double-reverse industry damage to sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On May 14, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary countervailing ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On July 3, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On September 18, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it will make a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China.
