On October 16, 2018, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) voted to make a definite final ruling on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy industry damage on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid, and derivative products (Sodium Gluconate, Gluconic Acid, and Derivative Products) imported from China , Ruled that the U.S. Department of Commerce finally ruled that the products involved in dumping and subsidies caused substantial damage to the domestic industry in the United States. In this ruling, all five members of the International Trade Commission voted affirmatively. According to the affirmative ruling of the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce will issue anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on the products involved in the case imported from China. This case involves products under the US harmonized tariff numbers 2918.16.1000, 2918.16.

On December 21, 2017, in response to an application submitted by the U.S. company PMP Fermentation Products, Inc., the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On January 12, 2018, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued an announcement stating that it had made a positive preliminary ruling on the damage to the dual-reverse industry on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On May 14, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On July 3, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China. On September 18, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it made a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid and derivative products imported from China.
