Traits

This product is white or white powder, odorless, almost tasteless. This product is hygroscopic. Soluble in water, very slightly soluble in anhydrous ethanol or chloroform.

Identification

(1) Take about 0.5g of this product and place it in a test tube. Add 5ml of water to dissolve it. Add 0.7ml of glacial acetic acid and 1ml of newly distilled phenylhydrazine, heat in a water bath for 30 minutes, then cool, rub the inner wall of the test tube with a glass rod, and gradually generate yellow crystals.

(2) Take about 0.1g of this product, add 5ml of water to dissolve it, and add 1 drop of ferric chloride test solution to show dark yellow.

(3) Take about 0.1g of this product, add 1ml of water to dissolve, add a little ammonium chloride, and neutralize with ammonium carbonate reagent.
